:: thresholders:: crossmedia project on new media culture
Thresholders is a crossmedia production which presents practitioners of media art, design and creative technology. The project aims at informing the wider audience on new media culture while creating a social and cultural context for its themes.
In Thresholders, the focus is in new productions and emerging practices
and genres. Over 50 practitioners have been interviewed for the project
in 2003. The events take place in Helsinki, a city which boasts an exceptionally dense network of developers and makers, many of them internationally known.
The project includes a 5-part documentary for the digital YLE Teema channel
produced by Koskela Art & Media House in co-production with m-cult and YLE Teema.
